Transforming Research into Stories That Inspire Action
At UT Dallas, I bridged the gap between complex bioengineering research and public understanding. By leading over 80 multimedia and communication initiatives, including website updates, social media campaigns, infographics, and video stories. I helped humanize technical work and make it resonate with broader audiences. My approach turned scientific achievements into compelling narratives, increasing engagement and strengthening the university’s brand as a forward-thinking research leader.
Bringing Innovation to Life
For this feature on an award-winning UT Dallas bioengineering graduate, I captured professional portraits designed to shine across both social media and formal university channels. By highlighting her spirit of innovation and human approach to research, the visuals helped tell a story that felt personal, inspiring, and shareable — reinforcing UT Dallas’ mission to celebrate rising leaders in health and medicine.

“Moises has been a fabulous media coordinator for the Department of Bioengineering. He was instrumental in designing and implementing the media footprint for the department. His work enabled the department to celebrate our milestone year 10 anniversary in a seamless manner over multiple digital platforms. Moises is creative , innovative and technically savvy. He did the pre and post production work of the department podcast series and the commencement ceremonies. He has been a pleasure to work with.”
Reimagining Health Through Story
For this special 10th anniversary series, I produced, edited, and launched all 13 podcast episodes, managing the complete PR and communications plan to ensure broad reach and engagement. I also coached the host to bring out authentic, accessible conversations that celebrated the department’s past, present, and future. The project was a successful cornerstone of UT Dallas Bioengineering’s anniversary, showcasing the power of thoughtful storytelling to elevate research and community impact.
Make it stand out.
I led this project from concept to final cut, directing, producing, and editing a full-scale video that showcased the Bioengineering and Science Building (BSB). Focusing on capturing the space's scale and spirit, we highlighted the department’s research excellence and community impact. Despite being produced in-house with existing tools, the result was a high-value piece (estimated at $20K) that elevated the department’s brand story and strengthened recruitment and donor communications.
